For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a natural will to be creative. Growing up in Oklahoma, my family actively discouraged me from engaging in the arts at a young age, but that innate creative drive never left me—it just found different ways to break through. It’s what eventually led me to building digital media properties online, a journey that has allowed me to blend technology, storytelling, and design into a single canvas.
Before building what you see here today, my path took me through some of the most intense, discipline-driven, and deeply human environments imaginable. I am a veteran, having served my country working on the iconic F117a Nighthawk stealth fighter. Following my military service, I spent fifteen years working in the mental health field. In that time, I witnessed firsthand the profound, transformative power that art and creative expression have on those facing severe mental health challenges. I saw how art could heal, speak when words failed, and completely shift a person's reality. I carried that deep understanding of art's vast impact on people into my next chapter as an investigative reporter, chasing truth and mastering the art of the narrative.
When I sold my first digital media property, TheColdCases.com, I knew exactly where those resources needed to go. I’ve lived in Florida since I was 19 years old. Now, at 40, my love for Saint Petersburg has only grown deeper. I’ve always wanted to live in this city, and more than that, I’ve always wanted to truly contribute to its heartbeat.
The St. Pete art scene is completely unlike anywhere else in the world. I fell in love with the massive, breathtaking murals, the fearless paintings, and the unmistakable way this city is fiercely vibrant and unashamedly proud of its creative class.
I didn't build Saint Petersburg | Art Collective to just be another website.
